Roman Huber began his working life in the IT sector, however since 1994 he has worked within the socio-political, civil society and humanitarian fields and for the NGO Mehr Demokratie. In 1996 he became a Member of the Board and in 2001 Managing Director of the organisation. Since the Maastricht Treaty he has specialised on European treaties and democracy within the European Union.

Throughout his working career, Huber has gain experience in the following:

• Assembling and administration of NGOs;
• Design and accomplishment of campaigns and actions;
• Pressure group and alliance-work;
• Fund raising;
• Communication, moderation and mediation;
• Human resources management;
• Management and IT;
• Consultation of initiatives and petitions for referenda;
• Social work with children and the elderly;
• Assembling of ancillary-convoy and other humanitarian projects.

Roman Huber has held conferences workshops and seminars on the following subjects:

• Democracy, direct democracy and political structures;
• Forms of (citizen) participation and communication;
• Fundraising;
• Setting up an organisation.

Roman Huber’s fields of interest include all forms of expansion of the consciousness and spiritual development.  He is also interested in the development of new societal structures for example ecological villages, alternative money systems, new forms of society, common living, ecological agriculture and new forms of energy.
